Officer Daniel Opsatnik

MARSHALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Officer Daniel Opsatnik joined North Allegheny after serving 28 years as a narcotics agent with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office. He was assigned to the Region 6 office in Butler, where he was responsible for nine counties in Western Pennsylvania. Opsatnik retired from the Attorney General's office in 2018.

 

What are you most looking forward to in your new role at North Allegheny?

Becoming involved with a school district that recognizes the need to protect their students.

 

Beyond safety, how do you envision your role in supporting the overall well-being of students?

Building a relationship with the school administrators, teachers and students to create a successful team.  Also,  to be a positive role model for the students. 

 

What is your favorite thing about Pittsburgh?

My favorite thing about Pittsburgh is the location.  Not only can I go to sporting events and concerts in the city, it's a short trip to Cleveland, Ohio or Columbus, Ohio to see sports and concerts

 

What are some of your interests or hobbies outside of law enforcement?

I like to stay active by going to the gym, walking and bicycling.
