Officer Patrick Moffatt
PEEBLES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL / HOSACK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Officer Patrick Moffatt has been a Patrol Officer, Homicide Detective and Crime Scene Investigator for the City of Pittsburgh for over 25 years. Prior to coming to North Allegheny, he served as a loss prevention investigator for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Pat assisted in developing and coaching young adults in the Brookline deck hockey league. Pat was dedicated to fostering relationships and not only coaching them but also being a positive role model for today’s youth.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role at North Allegheny?
Getting to know a whole new group of people that just want to educate and enrich the young people of this community. Oh, and having summers off.
Beyond safety, how do you envision your role in supporting the overall well-being of students?
Becoming part of their lives, being a mentor and just someone that will listen to them. Teaching them that they don’t have to do it by themselves, there is always someone out there to help.
What is your favorite thing about Pittsburgh?
Love the people, architecture, and history.
What are some of your interests or hobbies outside of law enforcement?
I enjoy camping with family and friends, just getting out into nature; coaching hockey, reading, and volunteering.
