OFFICER Q&A: Officer Frank Cichra
Q: What inspired you to become a police officer?
A: My Father was a Military Policeman (MP) in the US Army and told me some interesting stories. I followed his footsteps as an MP in the Army and enjoyed the work.
Q: What's your favorite thing about being an officer at NA/FES?
A: Greeting the kids in the morning while I drink coffee in my snowman mug.
Q: What was your favorite class/subject when you were in school?
A: It's a toss-up between Art and History.
Q: What school did you attend?
A: I'm an NA grad and started at Franklin Elementary.

Q: What was your favorite food to eat at school lunch?
A: Pizza, of course.
Q: Did you play a sport or participate in extracurricular activities while in school?
A: I spent many years in our local baseball league and wrestled for just a couple of years.
Q: What do you like to do for fun when you're not at work?
A: I have a lot of hobbies; boating, fishing, and metal detecting are a few.
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, do they help you with your job?
A: I have a German Shepherd named Henry, who is a big wimp.
Q: What's the most important thing you want kids to know about safety?
A: Safety is in every aspect of life. When you think you know everything and can't be hurt is when you're most vulnerable.
Q: What's your favorite way to connect with students at FES?
A: I like to go out on the playground and join the kids. I'm usually the steady Quarterback in the football games.
