KINDERGARTEN IPAD COLLECTION

In order to prepare for next school year, we will be collecting the iPad that was assigned to your child at the start of the school year.

The iPad collection process will take place on the following dates:

Please have your child bring his/her iPad in its case to school that day for collection. You do not need to return the lightning cable or charging block. Your child will be issued a new iPad (including a new case, lightning cable, and charging block) at the start of next school year. That iPad will remain with your child through fourth grade.

When the iPad is returned to the District, it will be erased. Any information saved in Google Drive will not be affected nor will any student progress in programs like iRead. If there are any photos on the iPad you would like to save, you can either transfer them to Google Drive or save them to another iOS device. The District will not be responsible for the transfer or backup of files left on the iPad.

Upon collection, teachers will examine the iPad for possible damage. Your child will receive a receipt stating the iPad and its case have been turned in. If the iPad is damaged, an insurance claim may be filed depending on the damage. If the iPad and/or case is not returned, a charge will be assessed for the full replacement cost of the missing item(s) until they are returned to the school. If your child will not be in school on the collection date, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher to coordinate an alternative collection date.
