North Allegheny School District has apps that are considered to be foundational and necessary for the day-to-day instructional needs and operation of schools.
The iPad apps that are considered to be foundational include:
- Big Ideas Math
- Blackboard
- CatchOn (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- Destiny Discover
- Destiny Read
- Google Drive (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- Google Docs (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- Google Meet (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- Google Sheets (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- Google Slides (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- HMH Player (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- iMovie
- iRead
- Keynote (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- JAMF Self-Service App (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- Lockdown Browser
- Numbers (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- Pages (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- TeamViewer QuickSupport (pre-installed on all K-8 iPads)
- TestNav (pre-installed on all K-3 iPads)
In addition to these foundational apps, your child may also have access to download additional apps through the Self-Service app on their iPad. The specific apps available to your child will vary based on grade; you can open the Self-Service app at any time to review the apps available to your child. Please be aware that students do not have access to the Apple App Store from their District iPad.
