Ninth Grade and New NAI Students Laptop Distribution - 2022
This school year your student will be receiving a District assigned Windows-based laptop. The laptop for your student will be available to pick up at the New Student Orientation on Wednesday, August 10 from 9:00-10:30 a.m., or on the first day of school if the family cannot attend the New Student Orientation. The new laptop will remain with your student until the end of their senior year.
For Parents/Guardians of Returning Students Entering Ninth Grade: When your student picks up their new laptop, they will need to have their currently assigned iPad and case in order to exchange their iPad for the laptop; your student does not need to return the charger or cable. Upon collection, the returned iPad will be examined for possible damage. If the iPad is damaged, you will be notified after the collection process and an insurance claim may be filed depending on the damage.
Below is important information relating to guidelines, device protection, and distribution procedures that require your attention prior to your student receiving their laptop for the 2022-2023 school year. If you have more than one student receiving a laptop, you will need to complete each of the three steps separately for each student.
- The required Device User Agreement must be signed by both a parent/guardian and the student and returned to school.
- Information and directions related to the recommended laptop device protection program.
- The North Allegheny School District Responsible Use Policy for Students, which students are required to sign at the start of the school year per the NASD Code of Conduct.
If you have questions about the distribution of your student's laptop, please contact an NAI Principal or Technology Services servicedesk@northallegheny.org.
