IMPACT
IMPACT is a unique program offering at North Allegheny Intermediate High School designed around the four core subject areas. The core subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies) are structured to meet the needs of students who require an increased emphasis on study skills within the regular education curriculum. A student may schedule electives from the Program of Studies that will accommodate their scheduling needs.
A variety of instructional strategies are designed to develop skills and self confidence. Students must meet eligibility requirements, sign a contract, and volunteer for participation. The program utilizes a team approach to insure opportunities for academic success. The team includes the students, parents, IMPACT Team teachers, the IMPACT Coordinator, and Administration.
