Student Discipline
The Board has established fair, reasonable, and nondiscriminatory rules and regulations regarding the conduct of all students in school or District programs during the time they are under the supervision of the North Allegheny School District, including while on school property of the District, while present at any school function under the jurisdiction of the North Allegheny School District, and while traveling to or from any school function under the jurisdiction of the District.
The Board has adopted a Code of Conduct for District programs to govern student discipline. Each student must adhere to Board policies and the Code of Conduct governing student discipline. Within the Code of Conduct is the Misconduct and Response Structure defining disciplinary actions. Disciplinary action is not based upon a student’s race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, or handicap/disability.
