Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself and how long you’ve worked in the school district?

A: I started working for NA in the fall of 1994 as a part-time worker at NASH.

In January 1996, I was hired full-time and, later that year, found my home at Franklin Elementary.

 

Q: What’s a typical day like for you?

A: To be ready for everything and anything.

 

Q: What do you enjoy most about your job and working at North Allegheny?

A: I enjoy keeping Franklin organized, clean and ready for each new day ahead.

 

Q: How do you think your work impacts students and staff?

A:  My hope is that all students and staff who see me in the building can go away feeling safe and comfortable.

 

Q: What’s something about your job that most people might not realize?

A: The opportunity to work in the same building as my wife from 2020 to 2023 at Franklin was a great experience.

 

Q: Have there been any memorable moments or interactions with students or staff that stand out?

A:  I will never forget the two full Renovations here during my time at FES.

 

Q: Can you appreciate the snow even after removing it from the walks and stairs for our safety?

A: As I get older I do not like the cold as much, but I always enjoyed going out and keeping the sidewalks clear and safe.

 

Q: What’s your favorite part of the school building?

A: The sky bridge here at FES is amazing.

 

Q: How do you like to unwind after a long day?

A: I enjoy listening to music and hanging out with my wife.

 

Q: What are some of your interests and hobbies?

A: I enjoy sports and camping.

 

Q: How much do you enjoy interacting with students and staff?

A: My position is unique, allowing me to see the student’s progression from kindergarten through fifth grade.
