• CAMP KON-O-KWEE

A tradition for North Allegheny fifth grade students is to experience Camp Kon-O-Kwee.

    WHAT IS CAMP KON-O-KWEE?

All North Allegheny 5th grade students will have an opportunity to participate in the annual Outdoor Education Program, which is conducted by teachers and staff from NA elementary schools as well as staff from Camp Kon-O-Kwee (KOK). The program includes study in areas such as water ecology, team building, and other hands-on environmental studies.

The purpose of this experience is to provide 5th grade students with an excellent opportunity to learn about the outdoors first-hand and to encourage positive interactions with other students and staff. This is not a vacation from learning but instead an opportunity to be engaged in an authentic, environmental learning experience. Camp is well-equipped for outdoor education and has a centrally-located lodge completely staffed and equipped with a kitchen, dining room, and recreational facilities.

    CAMP KOK LOCATION

Camp Kon-O-Kwee is located just west of Zelienople in Fombell, PA. The emergency telephone number is 724-758-6238. This number should only be used in case of an emergency.
