PA Governor’s School for Global & International Studies
Today’s high school students will soon become tomorrow’s leaders in business, politics, and academic life. The Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Global and International Studies is a summer enrichment program designed to provide these future leaders with foundational skills and knowledge for success in our complex and interdependent world.
The University of Pittsburgh invites academically talented current sophomore and junior high-school students to apply to attend the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Global and International Studies. All accepted students receive a full scholarship covering tuition, room, board, instructional materials, and program activities.
Participants live and learn in a pre-college community on the Pitt campus. Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents and agree to the residential requirement of full attendance for four weeks, seven days per week.
Please go to the following site for more information: www.govschool.pitt.edu/application.
You MUST meet with your counselor at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline to provide the completed counselor letter of recommendation form and discuss your application process.
