Welcome to McKnight Elementary School—"A Big School with a Bigger Heart!" We are a K-5 building of 873 students set between the business corridor of McKnight Road and the neighborhood of McCandless. We pride ourselves in giving students opportunities to grow academically and socially while providing supports to families. We are Kind, Courageous, Motivated, and Responsible in all that we do!

Our theme this year is “The Reflection in Me,” based on the book with the same title by Marc Colagiovanni and illustrated by Peter Reynolds. It’s about celebrating our uniqueness and finding the courage to look inside and appreciate ourselves and others! It’s a great reminder that everyone is “perfectly perfect” just as they are!

Our fully renovated school features a full-size gymnasium, a state-of-the-art library, a maker space, dedicated art and music classrooms (including strings and band), new playgrounds, and a Nature Trail. We take great pride in our arts as a vehicle for students to display their growth.
