OFFICER Q&A: Officer Gregory Walton

Q: What was your favorite class/subject?
A: History, particularly the Civil War era. I'll give an honorable mention to English literature.
Q: What school did you attend? Who was your favorite teacher?
A: I attended Butler School District. My favorite teacher was Mr. Kolokowski (Mr. K!). He taught high school chemistry at Butler. I didn't necessarily love chemistry, but Mr. K always made the class fun.
Q: What was your favorite food to eat at school lunch?
A: My favorite food was probably the turkey dinner that the Butler cafe put out right before Thanksgiving break. The lunch crew did a great job of preparing it—I remember it being pretty good.
Q: Did you play a sport or participate in extracurricular activities while in school?
A: I played baseball and several other sports, but they were mainly outside of the school.
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: Yes, I like hunting, golf, and cycling. I also enjoy taking on home projects and building things. It takes me a lot longer to complete them than it would a professional, but I like the satisfaction of DIY.
Q: Do you have a pet, and have you ever worked with a K9 Officer?
A: We have a dog (who is a lab), and a cat. I used to be a vice/drug officer, so we worked with the K9 officers pretty frequently, utilizing them to sniff out drugs. They were a great asset to us!
Q: What's your favorite thing about being an officer at NA?
A: The students are the best. I really enjoy interacting with them.
