Dear North Allegheny School District Stakeholders:

The initial phases of the North Allegheny School District Superintendent search process are progressing through the stages.

The North Allegheny School District Superintendent position has been advertised in the region, across the state, and nationally.  Information regarding the North Allegheny School District Superintendent Search and how to apply for the position can be located on the district website.

Additionally, the North Allegheny School District Board of School Directors has named Dr. Lawrence Butterini as Substitute/Acting Superintendent.  As a reminder, the Substitute/Acting Superintendent serves for an interim period while the search for the superintendent continues.  The Substitute/Acting Superintendent is NOT a candidate that will apply for the North Allegheny Superintendent of Schools position.

Communication with district stakeholders is integral to the search process.  District personnel, parents, student representatives, and community residents will participate in upcoming North Allegheny School District Focus Group Meetings.  In-person sessions and a virtual session will be held on upcoming May dates. The BR2 search consultants, Dr. Bart Rocco and Dr. Bille Rondinelli, will facilitate all Focus Group sessions.

The search consultants will review, analyze, compile, and provide information from the North Allegheny School District Focus Group Meetings to the North Allegheny Board of School Directors.

Applicants interested in the North Allegheny Superintendent of Schools position are in the process of submitting the required information and documents to the district on or before June 1, 2023. From the applications received, the candidates that best match the criteria/information obtained and compiled from the North Allegheny Focus Group will be selected for first-round interviews.  First-round candidate interviews with the North Allegheny School District Board of Directors are scheduled to begin in early June.

At the conclusion of the first-round interviews, the North Allegheny Board of School Directors will select candidates to advance to second-round and final interviews.  The North Allegheny Board of School Directors will conduct interviews through the month of June.
