    We’re quickly approaching the end of the school year and have a lot going on, hopefully these reminders will help.

    Tuesday, May 21  NO SCHOOL

    Friday, May 24  2:15 IES Memorial Day Program – all is welcome to come!

    Each grade will be performing one act.  AM K students may come back to school for the program but must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.  When it is time for K children to perform their song, KA and KB children can join the KC and KD children to sing their song. More information will be coming!

    Monday, May 27  NO SCHOOL

    Wednesday, May 29 Fieldtrip to Marburger Farm – no backpacks needed.  Please have your child wear their IES shirts that the PTO bought for them.  We leave at 9:10.  All 4 classes will be going in the morning and there will be no afternoon class in the afternoon.

    Thursday, May 30 Field Day. Field Day is during the children’s regular scheduled morning or afternoon session and it will be outside, weather permitting.  Please wear their IES shirt again. They do not need a backpack, but they will need a water bottle with their name on it and please put some suntan lotion and bug spray on them before they leave the house.

    Last week of school - Reading to the classroom - A chance for your child to read a book of their choice to their peers.  They get to show off their reading skills! Start picking a book!  Details are coming home today.

    Last week in review…

    ELA – We were very busy working on our Mother’s Day projects.  Students had to complete sentences based on their moms.  We hope you enjoyed them!

    Math – We’re working on chapter 11 – measurement.  We used cubes to measure the length and height of objects.  We also used the terms “longer than” and “shorter than”.
