Hola y bienvenidos!
My name is Traci DeGarmo and I'm excited to be at NA teaching Spanish! I am a graduate of Slippery Rock University (K-12 Spanish) and Edinboro University (Educational Leadership) and this will be my 11th year teaching. I began my teaching career at Solanco School District in Lancaster County before moving back to western PA where I recently taught at Grove City High School. I currently reside in Lawrence County with my 5 year old son, Nicholas. I enjoy attending school-sponsored events; so, if you ever see us out in the community, please introduce yourself!
I have at passion for traveling and discovering new cultures and places! While I've traveled to Spain and Central America, Costa Rica holds a special place in my heart. I studied Women in Literature at UCR while attending Slippery Rock and have taken 3 student groups through the country. Through all of my studies and travels, I've found the best way to learn the language is being immersed in the language. Therefore, I try my best to replicate that in my classroom with instruction and assessments.
