Lunch
The Food Services Department provides breakfast (available at Franklin, Marshall, and McKnight) and lunch for grades 1–12*. View the lunch menus on our website. The student ID provided is your student’s PIN number to purchase lunch. There are two ways to pay for meals:
- Send Cash/Check. The food services team will apply that dollar amount to your student’s account. Checks can be made to “NASD Cafeteria Fund”.
- PaySchools Central. The district utilizes this tool for electronic payment. When you are at the login screen, select “Register” to proceed with setting up the account. You will need the student ID to sign up for an account.
*Kindergarten students in the YMCA program have the option to purchase lunch.

Electronic Device Agreement (Grades K–5 Only)
Students in grades K–5 will receive an iPad. Please sign and return this user agreement on your student’s first day of school.
You are also asked to either accept or decline insurance on the device.
- This step will be completed after the device is received and will require you to access the asset tag on the back of the device.

Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to engage with your student and their classmates. Each school has a parent organization consisting of either a PTO, PFA, or PTA. See your school website for details.
Volunteers are required to have their PA Clearances. Here is information to get you started:

Report Cards
Click here to view the last day of each grading period and dates report cards are available.

Communication
The district mostly communicates through email, the district and buildings’ websites, and our online student information system, PowerSchool. PowerSchool is the system you used during registration and the username/password created will be your log in to see information about your student once school starts. Within PowerSchool you will find announcements, grades, attendance, etc.
SchoolMessenger is a tool utilized by the district to communicate such information as attendance notifications, school delays/cancellations, information about serious health-related issues, or a crisis response. Please take a moment to set your preferences.
Each building also provides communication on events and happenings within each building. You will receive communication via email specific to the building your student attends.

School Supplies
Supplies are specific to grade/homeroom teacher. You may check your building’s website in August for the upcoming year for more information.

TigerID
TigerID is North Allegheny's single sign-on (SSO) platform which allows users to securely authenticate with multiple applications and websites with just a single username and password. TigerIDs are distributed from Technology Services to all students and parents/guardians.
Parents/Guardians after you receive an email from noreply-tigerid@northallegheny.org letting you know that your TigerID is ready to claim, you can follow the instructions on this webpage for setup: servicedesk.northallegheny.org/support/solutions/articles/5000082840
Once you have set up your TigerID account, please use TigerID to access the PowerSchool Parent Portal from that point onward, as the direct PowerSchool login you have used for registration up to this point is not supported after registration is complete.
Students will be provided their TigerID on the first day of school!

School Building Websites
A website for each building can be found from the district’s homepage under NA Schools. Select your school below to be taken to their website.
