    1. If the Hydrogen ion concentration of a lake is 10-5 M:

    What is the pH?
Would you describe it as: strongly acidic, moderately acidic, neutral, moderately basic, strongly basic?
What is the hydroxide concentration of this lake?

    2. If an aqueous solution has 1 X 10-3 M hydroxide ions, what is the pH of this solution?

    3. A solution with a pH of 4 has how many more H+ ions than a solution with a pH of 7?

    Scroll down for answers.

    1. pH 5; moderately acidic; 10-9
