    • Pre-ACT will be held on Saturday November 18th @ NAI.  Registration forms can be found in the counseling office.  Forms must be submitted by October 20th.

    • The Actor’s Society is pleased to announce as a new fundraiser-- a private screening on the Opening Weekend for Star Wars:  The Last Jedi at Cinemark Wexford on SATURDAY, December 16 @ 7 pm.  The cost is $15 per ticket.  All seats will be assigned and reserved.  Get some friends together and come see the biggest movie of the year!  STAR WARS:  THE LAST JEDI.  To order tickets see Mr. Kiggins in the Counseling Office.

    • Did you miss the deadline to join Key Club?  The second deadline for applications is Friday, October 27.  Applications are available online on Mr. Rak’s website.

    • Hey fellow bookworms! NAI took home the first place title the last TWO years at Duquesne English Festival. Join us this year as we return to reclaim our title. This is an event where students, in teams of five, will read 6 books over the course of the year and will compete at a festival with activities related to the six books. This festival will take place on May 10, 2017 at Duquesne University where one of the authors will be giving a speech. Have your team registered by November 3rd! Scan the code on posters around the school to sign up! See Mrs. Watt for more information, room 409.

    • The Yearbook Staff is sponsoring the Mid-Week Spirit Week.  Starting October 25, we're going to be looking for some great yearbook pictures!  Look for the signs around the building. 

    • Attention 9th and 10th graders! The Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) meets at NASH every Wednesday in Room 232. Meetings begin around 2:45. Interested 9th and 10th grade students are more than welcome to attend and ride the activity bus after school to NASH for the weekly meetings! If you are interested in joining and have additional questions, please see Mrs. Mayhew in the counseling office.

    • NAI Students - it's finally time!  The first meeting of the NAI Book Club will take place on Wednesday, November 1 at 2:15 in the library.  Please see Ms. Z as soon as possible if you cannot attend.  Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting!

    • Do you love to play an instrument or sing?  Want to share that talent with the community? Do you want to be part of an ensemble? If you said yes to any of these questions, music club is just for you!!!  We will be having a meeting today right after school in room 195 or 199 at NASH both near the auditorium side entrance. If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Multi-Cultural Student Union is the club for you! Join us for the first meeting today, October 16th from 2:30-3:00 in the Lounge.  If you are interested but cannot attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Mayhew in the counseling office!

    • Attention students interested in joining HOSA: the next general meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17th, after school in the NAI Library. 
      We will welcome our first guest speaker, a pulmonologist and critical care specialist!  Membership requirements will be discussed as well as upcoming events.  Please see Mrs. Allen in room 601 if you cannot attend.

    • Are you interested in learning how to twirl a baton?  Do you want to become a North Allegheny Majorette?  Then the 3rd annual North Allegheny Majorette Mini-Camp is where you need to be.   The mini camp is open to grades K-11 and will be held on Wednesday nights beginning October 18th.   Look for the flyers and posters around the school for more details and information on registration.

    • Italian Club has a meeting on Tuesday, October 17 after school in room 406.

    • Right now, you could be sitting next to somebody who is going to be famous, someone who may be president one day, or someone who might cure a deadly disease. Go nominate them by going to NAI Student information on Blackboard and then click on the Yearbook folder on the left and vote for your “Most Likely To..”!

    • On Saturday, our JV boys’ soccer team ended its incredible season with a solid victory over Thomas Jefferson.  Thanks to three goals from Passodelis, two from Cinker and 1 from Van Kirk, North Allegheny beat TJ 6-2.  JV soccer ends the season with 11 wins, three losses, and two ties.  They scored 56 goals throughout the season and only let 13 goals in the net.  Great job, JV boys’ soccer!

    • Bowling Intramurals start today at 3pm at Perry Park Lanes, next to Bruster’s in McCandless.  Can’t make today?  We will meet every Monday and Wednesday through mid-November.  Fall and Spring Athletes, Varsity Bowling is a way to keep conditioned through the winter months.  For more information, see Mr. Jorden in Room 502.

Please see Mr. Banks in room 706.  There will be mandatory TSA work sessions on Wednesday and Thursday after school in room 706. Members must attend at least one of the after school sessions.

    • There are 10 unclaimed lunch boxes in the cafeteria, so if you are missing yours please stop down to the cafeteria to claim it.

    • The first meeting of the NAI Photography Club will be held after school on Thursday, October 19 in Room 304 - all shutterbugs with all levels of experience are encouraged to attend!

    • A huge win for Claire Shao and Carolyn Tsung, they placed 3rd in Section Doubles.  They will represent NA on Thursday at WPIAL Doubles. Best of luck to both girls.

    • The Astronomy Club will be having its first meeting today from 2:30 to 3:30 in Room 330 at NASH. See you there!
