• Role of the Speech-Language Pathologist

According to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) a Speech-Language Pathologist is a professional who has been trained to prevent, screen, identify, assess, diagnose, refer, provide intervention for, and counsel persons with, or who are at risk, for articulation, fluency, voice, language, communication, swallowing, and related disabilities.
If you are concerned that your child may be experiencing a speech and language difficulty, or if you have any questions regarding speech and language, you may contact your child's classroom teacher to request a speech and language screening, or contact me directly via phone or email (chudock@northallegheny.org).
