April 23, 2019

    Dear Parents,

As many of you know, the Spring Program rehearsal and concert dates for the Fourth Grade Chorus (May 6th and 7th) are fast approaching.  Your students have been working hard to make this a successful program we can all be proud of, and we are so excited to be able to share our final product with our friends and families!

A major concern for the students is always what they are supposed to wear.  I am hopeful that your son or daughter has something already in their closet that is concert appropriate.  The dress for the Fourth Grade Chorus will be as follows:

Girls: White Blouse and Black Skirt/Pants, Comfortable Dress Shoes

Boys: White Shirt, Black Pants, Comfortable Dress Shoes, (Tie and Belt are optional, but nice)

While performing, the stage can get very warm, so please keep this is mind as you help your 4th grader select an appropriate outfit.  Please no jeans!

On Monday, May 6th, 2019, as is traditional the day before a concert, we will be having a rehearsal after school from 3:30 – 5:00.  This will give us the opportunity to rehearse on the stage and make the final preparations for our program the following day.  Concert attire is NOT necessary for this rehearsal.

On Tuesday, May 7th, 2019, your children should come to school prepared for their daytime concert, although concert attire is not necessary.  The assembly will take place on May 7th at 2:15 pm.  In the evening, the chorus members should report to the music room at 6:30 pm to warm up for their program which will start at 7:00 pm.

The concert is a school activity, and it is expected that each of the chorus members will participate in the after school rehearsal as well as both performances.  Please take a moment to click on the link below and fill out the online form by Monday, April 29th, 2019.  A printable version of this form is also available here.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at the school.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and support of our music program.
