The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all they do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, the development of flight, applied flight sciences, military aerospace policies, and space exploration. The NASD program has been awarded the 2011-2013 Air Force Junior ROTC Distinguished Unit Award by the Department of the Air Force Air University. This award recognizes Air Force Junior ROTC units that have performed above and beyond normal expectations, and that have distinguished themselves through outstanding service to their school and community while meeting the Air Force Junior ROTC mission of producing better citizens for America. It is the seventh consecutive year the NASD program has achieved this honor. The program contacts are: Major Frederick Schott and MSgt. Richard Denault, NAI – 412-369-5455.
