Scholastic Book Fair – Spring 2020
The Fall Scholastic Book Fair was filled with lots of great books. Thanks to all of you, it was a huge success. We had wonderful attendance - our profit was over $2150 in cash and $1500 in books.
The profits will be used to purchase new books and supplies for the library, and technology equipment for school use. This money is also used to fund school-wide programs like the Author Visit, Read Across America Day, Summer Reading Program. Thank you for your patronage and your generosity!!
Thanks to all of the families who participated in the Teacher Wish List Program – they donated many wonderful new books to the classrooms at Bradford Woods.
The winner of the Family Night Drawing was Patrick in 3A. He won $15.00 worth of books for himself and his teacher, Miss Garrity. Several students will also win a free poster from the Book Fair based on the Family Night Drawing. I would also like to thank all of the families who attended Family Night, it was wonderful to see so many families attend this community event that supports and encourages reading!
Thanks also goes to the parent volunteers, without whose help the Book Fair would not have been possible:
Mrs. Baker (and Charlie)
And special thanks to the BWE Staff Members who worked so hard helping with Setup, Cleanup and Family Night. If your child ordered books, they will be delivered to them as soon as we return to school.
The Book Fair will be back again next year – look for more information in November 2020!
