• 5E Supply List

    Dear Parents and Students,

If you can't find any of the following supplies, please don't stress!  I always have lots of extra supplies and will hook you up.  I know that Back-to-school shopping is fun, but can also be stressful especially if there are multiple children in the family.  Let me know if you need anything!  I would like you to go ahead and take your supplies out of their packages before you come to school. It makes our first day run more smoothly. For example, take your book socks out of the plastic wrap at home and cut open packages for pens, highlighters, etc. and place them in your pencil pouch. Sometimes it's hard to fit everything in there, so markers and crayons can stay in their original boxes if you so desire and you can find a spot for them in your desk or chair pocket.

    • 1 pack of red checking pens

    • Pencils (please have these pre-sharpened so you are prepared)

    • 1 big eraser

    • 1 spiral notebook (approx. 70 pages or larger)

    • Organizational tool - binder OR expandable file.

    •  If you are using an expandable, please label your tabs ahead of time using the following phrases/words: Take Home, Return to School,  Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA.

    • If you are using a binder, you should purchase five 3-hole punched folders. Very important: One folder should be devoted to homework. Label the left side “Stay at Home” and the right side “Return to School." Label your remaining four folders - Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA.

    • Flat pencil pouch with a zipper (To be kept in your binder or expandable.)

    • Scissors

    • 1 pack of markers

    • Inch/cm ruler

    • 1 pack of highlighters (variety of colors)

    • Black Sharpie marker (fine-tip)

    • Set of standard-size Post-its (any color you wish)

    • Box of tissues for classroom

    • Box of tissues for the special area teachers

    • Chapter book to keep in your desk

    • 2 book covers/book socks (Keep in mind that 5th grade books are bigger.)

    • Earbuds/Headphones placed in a resealable Ziploc Baggie with your name/homeroom labeled (New this year!  A must have for iPads!)
    • Stylus for writing on your iPad
    • A glue stick and a small pack of crayons are provided by the school. You are welcome to bring your own if you want more.

    • Special request from Mrs. Goehring: If your last name begins with A-M, please bring a container of disinfecting wipes (such as Clorox or Lysol). If your last  name begins with N-Z, please bring in a roll of paper towels.
