    Elementary students at North Allegheny have access to many quality databases that will aid in increasing their understanding of information access while sharpening their navigation and searching skills. Below are resources that can be accessed from school. For more information on each database as well as a link for home access, scroll past the Quick Links section.

    Online Resources Information

    In order to access the databases from home, you will need a unique user name and password. These are available from your building librarian. Please visit your school library to obtain the information necessary for remote access.

    Pennsylvania's POWER Library offers a variety of resources, including:

    The premier destination for geography! Learn about the cultures of 182 countries. Access maps, facts, photos, and recipes. Two additional databases focus on the United States and Canada.

    Enchanted Learning

    Enchanted Learning offers 19,000 educational websites designed for elementary school children. Find information and printouts about animals, counties, dinosaurs, and states. There are coloring book pages, craft projects, match activities, and even an online picture dictionary.

    Grolier Online

    Two encyclopedias (Grolier Multimedia, and America the Beautiful) accessible with one click!

    PebbleGo

    PebbleGo databases are designed specifically with elementary school students in mind. Large, bold text, clear language, and photos complement each article. North Allegheny students have access to the following PebbleGo databases:

    PebbleGo Next databases are designed for the older elementary student. North Allegheny students have access to the following PebbleGo databases:

    Capstone Interactive has a variety of interactive ebooks that can be accessed at home.

     

    To access PebbleGo from home, Gr.4 and 5 use the PebbleGo icon on your iPad. 
    K-3 students will need to refer to email or contact your building librarian.
