     Flexible Instruction Day (FID) Guidelines for Mrs. Funk's Orchestra Students:

    If a flexible instruction day (FID) occurs on your lesson or orchestra day, please plan to check Google Classroom for an outline of what to practice.  In addition, you may choose to perform a "Living Room Concert" of at least 15 minutes for your family member(s), using your current orchestra literature or lesson assignment from the previous week.  We will plan a special time to view your concert if you choose to record it on your iPad


    About Mrs. Funk.....

    Mrs. Funk begins her 28th year of teaching strings/orchestra at North Allegheny this fall.   A violinist, she graduated summa cum laude in 1990 from Clarion University with a B.S. in Music Education.  She completed her M.Ed. in 1992 at Penn State University with a concentration in string pedagogy, and began teaching elementary strings at Espe, McKnight, and Peebles Elementary in the fall of 1992. Mrs. Funk began playing the violin in the 5th grade at Peebles Elementary.  She is a graduate of North Allegheny and participated in the orchestra programs at North Allegheny for 8 years. Mrs. Funk lives in the district with her husband and 2 children.
