There is a collection box for recycling of Drink Pouches. Examples include Capri Sun, Honest Kids, Kool Aid, etc.....
There is a collection box for used inkjet and laser printer cartridges in the school, beside the library door.
Funding Factory, Erie, PA, pay the PTA for qualifying ink cartridges, which they sell to refurbishing companies. The lists of qualifying inkjet and qualifying laser cartridges do change from time to time; remanufactured cartridges are not acceptable. Non-qualifying cartridges are recycled locally.
There will be a cellphone collection in the new year.
The cellphone recycling program is also run by Funding Factory. Qualifying cellphones sent to Funding Factory are sold on to refurbishing companies if possible. If not, they are taken apart and the components are disposed of, recycled if possible. Cellphones should be in working order and unfortunately their accessories (chargers etc) cannot be recycled.
Paper recycling at Peebles will be possible soon. The collection will be run by Abitibi Paper Retriever.
