MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the North Allegheny Intermediate High School IMPACT PROGRAM is to help students successfully meet the learning requirements of the ninth and tenth grade curriculum, develop life-long learning strategies, and foster a sense of self-confidence.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
IMPACT is a unique program offering at North Allegheny Intermediate High School designed around the four core subject areas. The core subjects (English, Math, Science and Social Studies) are structured to meet the needs of students who require an increased emphasis on study skills in addition to the regular curriculum. A student may schedule any electives from the Program of Studies that will accommodate their scheduling needs.
A variety of instructional strategies are designed to develop skills and self-confidence. Students must meet eligibility requirements, sign a contract and volunteer for participation. The program utilizes a team approach to insure opportunities for academic success. The team includes the student, parents, IMPACT Team teachers, and the IMPACT coordinator.
