Do you know someone who needs help???

MMS HELP Line

MMS Families:

The Marshall Middle School Student Assistance Team (SAT) is proud to announce that we have set up a "Help Line" for MMS students and families. If you believe a MMS student is making bad choices and needs help, there is a voice mail number you can call to share information.

At Marshall, we know we are fortunate to have such a wonderful population of children. Unfortunately, bad decisions are sometimes made. We would like every opportunity to help our children safely through these challenging years. We know some of our children are using/have used illegal drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. We believe that these are substances best avoided at any age, but in particular during the middle school years when teens are so impressionable, insecure, and often seeking their place in the world. These factors along with a teenager’s rapidly changing physiology make them highly prone to addiction. Their bodies are changing sometime right before our eyes, and to let them poison their systems at this stage is unthinkable.

If you choose to utilize our helpline, you may do so either anonymously or by identifying yourself. If we receive information from a person willing to give their name and allowing us to contact them, we are more greatly empowered to act on behalf of the student. Our Student Assistance Team would like to assure the community that we have and will always maintain a professional level of confidentiality at all times.

For immediate Emergency Response Dial 911

Dial: 724-934-6060
then select Option #6
Please understand that our goal is not to "get kids in trouble." On the contrary, we hope to act before they find themselves in trouble they cannot get out of themselves.  Remember, this is not an emergency hotline. If someone needs immediate assistance, calling 911 would be the prudent course. The MMS Helpline is monitored on a daily basis. Your information will enable us to develop an appropriate course of action. Please contact Tony Cima (SAT Coordinator):

with any questions or suggestions concerning our helpline or the SAT program. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
