The Marshall Elementary PFA Proudly Presents the
MES AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
WINTER 2008
The After School Programs return to Marshall Elementary School this winter! Classes will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays this session, beginning Thursday, February 7th and ending Tuesday, March 18th. An After School Program Registration form may be found at the end of this packet following a brief description of the classes being offered. Please return this form and all fees associated with the course(s) your child would like to enroll in by Friday, January 25, 2008.
Classes will be filled, primarily, on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration forms will be collected daily from the office after 1:00 PM. In the event that a number of registration forms are received in one day causing the maximum class size to be exceeded, a lottery will be held from that day's registrants only to select the final class members. Some classes will fill up quickly, so register as soon as possible. In order to allow as many students as possible to enroll in desired classes, children will need to rank their class choices. Your child may wish to attend the program both Tuesdays and Thursdays. If this is the case, be sure to circle yes or no where indicated. Class confirmation notices will be sent home with students after the registration period closes.
Please put all registration materials in an envelope clearly marked "MES AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS," and return the materials to your child’s teacher. Please do not combine this form with any other PFA information. Please pay by check made payable to Marshall Elementary PFA. It is very helpful to write a separate check for each child and each activity/course selected. In case a class is cancelled or filled, we can then return the check more easily to you. Please do NOT send cash; it will not be accepted.
Please remember to fill out one registration form per child. Extra forms are available at Marshall.
In order to make our After School Programs successful, we need to enlist your help as a Program volunteer. Volunteers are needed to check children into the program after school, to monitor the classes as they are run, and also to check children out on their way home. Please indicate which day(s) of the program you will be able to stay and help at the bottom of the registration form. We will try and make babysitting arrangements for parents with preschool children who are willing to volunteer.
Scholarships are available to sponsor children who may not be able to participate in the After School Program. Parents may speak confidentially to Ms. Colcombe to register your children.
If you have any questions or concerns about these Programs, please contact Ann Helgerman at helgerman1@comcast.net or (724) 935-8498.
