Ceramics for 2nd and 3rd graders
- After-school ceramics is a great opportunity to build clay
sculptures and learn to coil-build and slab-build clay
containers. We will construct 3 or 4 projects and glaze all of
them. It’s a wonderful time to “dig into clay!” Mrs. Devine is
a McKnight art instructor and has taught this popular class for
a number of years. |

Traditional Chinese Hand Writing –
In this class, students will be introduced to Chinese characters
and will learn to write different strokes, practice their names
and form simple numbers, colors, and seasons. Mr. Feng is
a Wexford resident and has taught Chinese language both in
public school and private lessons in the past. Chinese is his
mother tongue and he loves to teach Chinese writings as an art
class. |

Acting- Learn the basics of acting! Through fun

Cooking Fun –
This class offers advanced cooking techniques and
measuring. Children will be responsible for preparing their own snacks in
class. Each class will have a food group theme. The class is designed to make
cooking fun. At the end of the six weeks, the children will know how to prepare
simple, nutritious snacks at home. Recipes will be given at the end of class.
Please list any allergies and your email on the application. This class is not
recommended for children with severe food allergies.

American Girl Dolls – This class
will take students on an exciting journey into the past.
Children will learn how young girls lived and played during each
doll’s era. We will create timelines, crafts and enjoy a tea
