The PFA would like to extend a HUGE Thank you to the Girl Scouts who served by caring for our children  during the October PFA evening meeting. The time you took out of your schedules was much appreciated!! Great job!!

Student Emergency Dismissal Forms – This form was sent home in your student’s Thursday envelope on October 16.  It is imperative that this form be returned as soon as possible.  Forms are due no later than Thursday, October 23. 

Please don’t forget to have your children carry their orange Trick or Treat for UNICEF boxes on Halloween!  Collect money for children’s health and safety around the world, while you go door to door for treats.  You will have one week after Halloween to return the boxes marked with how much money is inside.  Thanks for helping children world wide.

Feel free to come and buy some books any time during buying week.  These books make great gifts for the holidays!  Stock up now and support your school!  If you have any questions, or would like to volunteer, call Julie Tarle at 412-367-1491, or Michelle Mracna at 412-635-0807.

The Holiday Shop & Vendor Expo is looking for vendors to participate in the event on Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 am-3:00 pm-McKnight Elementary Cafeteria.  There will be a $15 vendor fee & we are giving the opportunity to McKnight Elementary parents first before going into the community.  We do have several of our vendors back from prior years including Mary Kay Cosmetics, Partylite, Safety Bands, & Premier Designs Jewelry.  Please contact Richele Ward at (412) 395-2868 (w) or wardr@lls.org to sign up as a vendor.

The McKnight Book Fair Safari is coming.  Student browsing days will be Monday, October 27^th through Thursday, October 30^th.  Buying days are Monday, November 3^rd through Friday, November 7^th. The fair will run during parent/teacher conferences so parents can come in and do some shopping while at school. There will be an after school/evening event for the whole family on Thursday, November 6^th, from 3:30 - 7:30 pm.
