Choose a farm animal and research a short information paragraph. Illustrate in barn frame.        Schedule two extra library periods.

Theme Two- “Nature Walk”

Theme Three- “Around Town: Neighborhood and Community”

Choose a community helper or other job. Locate information and take notes. Schedule two extra library periods

Lesson on Using an Encyclopedia- Schedule one extra library period ( we also do this in library class)

Theme 4  “Amazing Animals”

Use outline and designated format to complete a report –either Animal, Dinosaur, etc,

Report will be word processed, illustrated cover, etc. Schedule two- three  extra library periods.

Focus on Biography

Read a short biography about a famous person. Take notes using the book and also on line resources such as Curriculum resource Center.  Write and word process an alliteration report about their famous person.
