Research shows that children lose one to three months of reading skills when they don't read over the summer. So keep those kids reading, whether old favorites, new titles, or even audio books while on a road trip! Just 30 minutes a day whether by a swimming pool, under a shady tree, or tucked under the covers before bedtime is all it takes. Looking for suggestions? Mrs. Burk and Mrs. Falkner, the McKnight Librarians, have compiled some suggestions below. Also, don't forget to let us know what you are reading!! Use the McKnight Library Summer Reading Form to send us the information. Every title you submit puts your name into a prize drawing for when school starts next year!!
