Selection One- Tomas and the Library Lady

Extra lesson that can be scheduled:

a.       We know that there is a lesson on Using the Library (pages 181C and D).  We already cover this in our library classes. You are welcome to schedule your homeroom for an extra class focused on using the on-line catalog with graded activity sheet – Schedule one extra library period

Selection Two: Tanya’s Reunion

Extra lesson that can be scheduled:

a.       We also know that on page 215C and D there is a lesson on Electronic resources.  These skills are covered by us in library class throughout the year.  We can do an extra lesson comparing electronic encyclopedias to the use of Internet search engines – Schedule one extra library period

Selection Three: Boss of the Plains

Extra lesson that can be scheduled:

a.       We can use reference sources to locate chronological information about important dates in state history, famous American heroes, or American presidents. Use Timeliner software to make a computerized timeline. Schedule two extra library  periods 

Selection Four: A Very Important Day

a.       We already cover choosing correct reference sources (Page 275C).
