Ingomar Elementary serves over 420 students with 18 teachers, 9 special area and special education teachers, some who are shared with other buildings. Support staff, such as guidance counselor, classroom assistants, custodians, and a school psychologist complete the Ingomar Team. We have always viewed ourselves as one component in a partnership with our community and parents. These partnerships will nurture and influence learning for a lifetime. Through our belief that our school is a "Community of Learners," we are eager to encourage every child to reach his potential. We believe that along with our quality instruction, our staff must continue to take part in staff development, in-service training, graduate course work, and workshops. They will share this new knowledge with students, staff, parents, and community through a variety of methods. But the student - teacher partnership at Ingomar is only two-thirds of the formula for successful learning. The other critical factor is parents and community working in partnership with our students and teachers. Therefore, our parents and community will be called upon for assistance, both at home and at school. The reality is that the most successful students are those who have strong support from their teachers, parents and community. On behalf of the entire Ingomar Team, we welcome the opportunity to share additional information about our school and its quality programs. Please contact us at 412-366-9665. |
