Carson Chamber Singers

The
Carson Chamber Singers was founded by Mr. Woten in 1992 to provide
exceptionally talented students the opportunity to pursue vocal music at a
level unattainable in the classroom setting. The singers work
towards developing correct singing technique, part independence within
multi-part harmony, a capella singing, stage presence, and a greater
appreciation for vocal music.
Students are
selected through a 2-tiered audition process. Rehearsals are every
Tuesday morning from 7:15 - 8:00am. To participate, the students must be
a member of a Carson music ensemble, sing with an unchanged voice, maintain
high academic standards, and be a positive member of the Carson Community.
Some of the group's
previous performances include live television appearances for Channel 11's,
WPXI Christmas Carol Sing and KDKA's Children's Hospital Free Care Fund. They
have sung on the Shadyside Concert Series as guests of the Duquesne Chamber
Singers, for weddings and other events. We have recorded three CDs and would
love to see you at our next concert.
