North Allegheny Athletic Hall of Fame
During the winter of 1996/1997, Tim O'Malley, Director of Athletics, had a vision and assembled a group of athletic minded administrators and citizens to explain his ideas for a North Allegheny High School Hall of Fame. Everyone in attendance was enthusiastic. A committee was formed and the Association was born. The North Allegheny Athletic Hall of Fame was formed to honor individuals for athletic excellence. In addition to athletic excellence, the individuals are recognized for their personal conduct and the manner in which they represent their school and community both on and off the field. The includes life after high school. Since 1997, we have inducted 115 individuals, which includes the Class of 2010.
Each Association member is permitted to nominate one former student-athlete, coach or administrator annually. These forms may be obtained from the Athletic Director's Office. Each ballot is reviewed by the Hall of Fame Committee and submitted to the membership for voting. Association by-laws reflect eligibility requirements, number to be elected, etc.
The Association is extremely proud of the fact that all funds used have been raised from the members and the community. This includes the funds to alter the structure and build the attractive new Hall of Fame Room in the lobby of the Senior High School building. The Association wishes to express their appreciation to the Administration and the Board of School Directors for their advice and support.
It is easy to become an Association member. Simply copy the form from the website, complete the application and forward it to the Athletic Department, c/o Bob Bozzuto, 10375 Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090.
