Dr. Andreyko serves the North Allegheny School District as the Assistant Superintendent of Academic Advancement. Prior to arriving at North Allegheny in 1997, Dr. Andreyko began her career as an English teacher in Chesapeake Public Schools in Virginia. She has served NA as both the Assistant Principal and Principal of Ingomar Middle School before being Commissioned as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Her current position of Academic Advancement encompasses academic technology, comprehensive planning, curriculum, grant writing, professional development, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Dr. Andreyko earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English and Speech Communication from Kent State University. She received her Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from Old Dominion University and a second Master of Science in Human Resources Management from La Roche College. Dr. Andreyko was awarded her Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility from Gannon University and completed her doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Andreyko's dissertation was entitled Principal Leadership in the Accountability Era: Influence of Expanding Job Responsibilities on Functional Work Performance, Stress Management, and Overall Job Satisfaction.
During her career at North Allegheny, Dr. Andreyko has had the opportunity to represent Western Pennsylvania on the Pennsylvania Middle School Association's State Board of Directors. She has been published in the PAESSP journal, the Pennsylvania Administrator for Educational Leadership. She has also presented at the Learning Forward National Conference, the University Council of Educational Administrators' National Conference, Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals' (PAESSP) State Conference, and the Pennsylvania Middle School Association's (PMSA) State and Regional Professional Development Institutes. In addition, Dr. Andreyko's work has been celebrated in 2009 when she was named PAESSP's and MetLife's Pennsylvania Middle Level Principal of the Year and Phi Delta Kappa Three Rivers Council's Dr. Mary Ravita Leadership Scholarship Award recipient. In 2008, she was presented with an Alumni Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Pittsburgh and PAESSP/Lincoln Investment Inc.'s Bob D. Schiller Memorial Research & Support Award. In 2006, she was selected as the PMSA's Administrator of the Year and received the Horace Mann Program for Educators Scholarship in 2004. She was also recognized in 2002 by Kent State University as their Outstanding Young Alumna by the Alumni Greek Council.
Dr. Andreyko maintains her professional affiliation with several organizations that include the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), the Pennsylvania and National Association for Elementary and Secondary Principals (PAESSP & NASSP), the National Staff Development Council, Phi Delta Kappa (PDK), and the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), and the Pittsburgh Technology Council.
