REALIGNMENT ANNOUNCED FOR BASKETBALL AND WRESTLING
The WPIAL has announced the realignment for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 basketball and wrestling seasons. In boys' basketball, New Castle has moved down to Class AAA and will be replaced by Central Catholic. In girls' basketball, New Castle has also moved down to Class AAA and will also be replaced by Moon.

In wrestling, all wrestling sections will be divided into two sub-sections - A and B. On the final night of the regular season, the top two teams from A and the top teams from B will come together for a four-team tournament. The first-place team from A will meet the second-place team from B, and the first-place team from B will meet the second-place team from A. Immediately after the semifinal matches, the two winners will meet for the section championship. All four teams, however, will enter the WPIAL playoffs.

TIGER TEAMS WIN MSA CUP FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
The NA athletic teams have won the MSA Sports Cup for the fourth time. The cup is a challenge to determine the best sports program during the school year in the WPIAL in each classification. The Tigers accumulated a total of 700 points to runnerup Bethel Park's 485 and Upper St. Clair's 465 to take the Quad A title. NA is the only school to win the cup in the Quad A competition in the four years of its existence.

CLASS OF 2007 INDUCTEES ANNOUNCED
The North Allegheny
Hall of Fame Comittee is proud to announce the Induction Class of 2007 which
includes: Jessica Brungo, Valerie Fawcett McCormack, Tony Hindley, Jason
Lammers, Maureen O'Hare, and Ryan Tolhurst. In addition, Patricia
Balok was named as the recipient of the Bob Miller Award for being an
outstanding supporter of NA Athletics and Bobby Wright was selected for
the Joe Drazenovich Award given for legendary service to North Allegheny
Athletics. The banquet will be held at the Chadwick on Thursday, October 11,
2007. Banquet tickets are now available in the athletic office.

ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE CONTINUES
The North Allegheny Athletic Hall of Fame is currently conducting its annual membership drive. All athletes who graduated in, or before, 2002 are eligible for consideration. To nominate an athlete, you must be a member of the NA Hall of Fame Association. A Membership application is on the website or you can call the athletic office at 724-934-7238 for more information.
Proceeds have been used to improve the Baierl Student/Community Center, enhance the athletic website and many other initiatives for our student/athletes. Please consider joining this worthwhile association.
