loose for a layup just before the buzzer as McDowell went into the final
period with a 44-28 advantage. Crouch was

with 4:59 remaining in the game. After

the Trojans a 50-31 lead at the 3:47 mark.

to push it back to a seventeen-point margin.
After Tiesi dropped in one of two foul shots, junior Greg Hansen
banked in a long three-point basket to close out the scoring and give
McDowell a 57-36 victory over the Tigers. The loss dropped the NA overall record to 12-12 on the season, with the section record finishing at 6-6. BOYS’ BASKETBALL – 2002-03
The Tigers will once
again compete in Class AAAA, along with 35 other teams in the 2002-2003

head to head contests, that team will enter the tournament round.
Three way or multiple ties will be broken in the following manner:
1) The cumulative section won-lost records of all tied teams will be totaled.
2) The team that has the best numerical record among the tied teams will enter post-season play.
3)
If the tie cannot be clearly broken, all will enter post-season
play.
The WPIAL will qualify 10 teams
from AAAA in the PIAA state tournament.
