The mission of the Unified Boosters Organization is to promote school spirit and pride in the North Allegheny community.  We provide a means for better communication among all booster, sport, school and community groups.  Every effort is made to promote and encourage student and community support for all North Allegheny events, activities and sports. 

  1. Georgiana Thomas Scholarship - $700

The Georgiana Thomas Scholarship was created to recognize a North Allegheny senior rostered-athlete/marching band member, who achieves academic excellence, displays leadership qualities, and makes a commitment to others through volunteer service to school and/or community.  This is a one-time scholarship of $700.00.

Eligibility Requirements:

·         Be a senior rostered-athlete/marching band member at North Allegheny High School.

·         Achieve a cumulative QPA of 3.4 or higher by the end of the first semester of your senior year.

·         Have not accepted a full tuition scholarship to a college or technical school.

You may apply for this scholarship through each NA sport team/marching band for which you are a rostered member, however, you can only be selected as a candidate from one. (If more than one group selects you, you will need to decide which group you will represent.)

Instructions:

·         Fill out the Scholarship Application (don’t forget the paragraph requirement listed at the bottom of the application).

·         Return the completed application to the UBO Representative for your sport on or before ____________.  (Check with your UBO Rep for this date.)

·         The Booster group that represents that team will select one candidate from each team.

·         In April, a review committee will then select 4 or 5 semi-finalists.

·         During the first week of May, the Interview/Selection Committee will interview semi-finalists.

·         On May 27, 2009 the recipient of the Georgiana Thomas Scholarship will be recognized at the UBO Meeting.

  2. The Tiger Scholarship - $500

The Tiger Scholarship was created to recognize a North Allegheny senior rostered-athlete/marching band member, who displays leadership qualities, and makes a commitment to others through volunteer service to school and/or community, while achieving a cumulative QPA of 2.0 to 3.39.  This is a one-time scholarship of $500.00.

Eligibility Requirements:

·         Be a senior rostered-athlete/marching band member at North Allegheny High School.

·         Achieve a cumulative QPA between 2.0 and 3.39 by the end of the first semester of your senior year.

·         Have not accepted a full tuition scholarship to a college or technical school.

    3. Fall Sports - $350

You must have a 3.4 or higher grade point average for the first nine weeks         reporting period while participating in a North Allegheny athletic program, band or cheerleading. 

A random drawing will be held and one student will be selected.

4.  Winter Sports Season - $350

You must have a 3.4 or higher grade point average (GPA) for the second nine weeks reporting period while participating in a North Allegheny athletic program or cheerleading.

     A random drawing will be held and one student will be selected.

5.  Spring Sports Season - $350

You must have a 3.4 or higher grade point average (GPA) for the third nine weeks reporting period while participating in a North Allegheny athletic program or cheerleading.

A random drawing will be held and one student will be selected.
