STUDENTS AGAINST DESTRUCTIVE DECISIONS

Peer Mediators

Peer Mediation is a program designed to support students who have a conflict and want to resolve it peacefully with the help of other trained students instead of adults.  Peer Mediators are trained in a two day training session in 7th and 9th grades .  All information from the Mediation is kept strictly confidential.

The NAI Peer Mediators held a Mediation Showcase for all of the Middle Schools. Here are some pictures of the day:

Great job NAI, Carson, Marshall and Ingomar!!!

Support Groups

Student Assistance Team Members  and Mercy Behavioral Health offer a chance for students to participate in voluntary educational groups during the school year.  Some topics include:  Self Development, Smoking Cessation, Stress Reduction, Changing Families, Study Skills, and Insight into Substance Abuse.

These groups meet once a week for 8-9 weeks.   The times vary so a student will not miss the same class each week. See a student Assistance Team Member, Guidance Counselor, administrator for details.
