RE: 2008 Summer Group String Lesson

In order to keep your children progressing in the right direction over the summer North Allegheny will be offering 3 weeks of FREE summer group lessons. Summer lessons will be at McKnight Elementary School please use the front entrance and follow the signs for summer string lessons. Your child will be reviewing materials from school and learning new and exciting skills that will put him/her a step ahead for the next school year.

Your child should choose a time slot that agrees with the grade he/she will be entering in the 2008-2009 school year. Students entering 4^th grade can choose from one of the 60 minute lessons. Students entering 5^th or 6^th grade will have a 30 minute lesson time slots. Please check the time and dates below. Please make sure that you have the correct day and time listed below.

Here are some tips on how to come prepared for the summer group lessons:

	Students should bring the lesson books that they use in school; Essential Elements 2000 Book I or II. If a student does not have a book they should purchase one at Musik Innovations before attending the lessons.
	Students entering 5^th grade should have the Essential Elements Book II for the summer group lessons.
	Students can attend all three days each week for the summer group lessons (see times and dates below.) Each day we will review material from previous lessons, introduce new skills and work on ensemble music.
	The summer group lessons are very flexible, try to make as many lessons as you can. It is not mandatory to attend but, even if you make one lesson all summer that is better than noneJ
	You do not have to sign up or call to attend these lessons just show up at the appropriate time listed below.
