            Artist Statement

My work reflects untainted relics of my imagination, departing from traditional rules of perspective, color
schemes and laws of light. The inhabitants of these canvas kingdoms are articulated against tilted
horizons and whimsical skies.  Their eyes reveal compelling secrets, inviting viewers to unravel their
own stories and illusions.  My ancestors appear in my work. They bring gifts of color and compassion, and
their spirits are rekindled into dancing elves and singing fairies. They are doorways into the hidden
forests of the earth womb.  Welcome to Lindy Land.

Biography

Lindy Kehoe graduated from North Allegheny in 1997, and went off to Ohio University to study Painting and Ceramics.  She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and obtained a teaching certificate in March of 2002.  She is currently living and loving in Athens, Ohio, where she is painting full time and active in the peace
movement.  Her work has been exhibited all around Ohio and can be virtually seen at LindylandArt.com
