Open and continuous communication between parents and teachers has proven to be vital to the success of students in the classroom. It is important for both parents/guardians and school personnel to continue to communicate regularly with regards to student success in school. While report cards offer one means of communication, the ability to meet face-to-face and collaborate on a child’s progress is invaluable. On Monday, November 7, 2016 and Tuesday, November 8, 2016, we invite parents/guardians to take part in our annual fall conferences in order to benefit from a conversation about their child’s progress.
For this school year, teachers will be available for conferencing from 12:00pm until 7:45pm on Monday, November 7, 2016 and from 8:00pm until 3:45pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Please note that it may be necessary for teachers to schedule conferences on other days.
Prior to the fall conference dates, report cards will be issued. Report cards will be available on Friday, November 4, 2016.
Throughout the year, you should always feel comfortable in contacting your child’s teacher to discuss academic progress or any other concerning issues. While you are encouraged to attend the fall conferences, these two days are by no means the only days that are available to you for discussion. You can schedule a conference with school staff at any time throughout the course of the school year.
