NA  Announces New New Student Announces Registrations Being AcceptedProcessMock Disaster Drill

 

 

            The North Allegheny School District  (NASD) announces thatnew student registrations are being accepted for the 2008-2009 school year as follows:

 

 Elementary (Kindergarten and grades 1 5):         PleaseParents/guardians may register a child at the District’s Central Administration Office weekly Monday – Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  The Central Administration Office is located at 200 Hillvue Lane in the Town of McCandless.  The school yourthe child will attend can be verified at the time of registration.

 

Secondary (grades 6 – 12):    PleaseParents/guardians may register a child at the school your childwhere the child will be attending.  If youthe parent/guardian areis not certain which school yourthe child will attend, pleasethat information can be obtained by calling phone the District’s Transportation Office at 412-369-5500.

 

All new student registrations require a birth certificate and proof of immunization and residency. Immunization requirements can be found on the North Allegheny School District website at www.northallegheny.org/academics/Health/immun.html.

 

The first day of school for all students will be August 28, 2008.  Bus schedules will be mailed to students in mid-August.  If you haveFor  additional questionsinformation, please call the Central Administration Office at 412-366-2100.

 

 

 

 

 

a mock disaster drill has been scheduled to take place in the back lot of the North Allegheny Intermediate (NAI) High School on Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m.

 

            The drill will involve the Town of McCandless Fire Departments, McCandless and Franklin Park Ambulance Authorities, McCandless Police Department, UPMC Passavant Hospital and a variety of other agencies.   This will be a mock mass casualty incident and will involve live participants as part of the drill.

 

            Community residents are asked to avoid the area to allow these agencies to conduct an efficient and effective exercise.
