Oct. 3, 2008 Today is a B Day
Attention all students participating in the parade: Do not forget--your float needs to be ready to move out on the field by 5:30. Line up will be in the back of the school. Once you are in the stadium, if you should leave, you MUST buy a ticket to get back in!
Attention all students who signed up to see Radio Days: Your $17 is due today as well as your permission slips. Stop in the GOAL Office and see Mrs. Will. Money and permission slips are due now for Radio Days.
Reminder to anyone interested in going backpacking with LTA October 11th and 12th: Please come to the cafeteria at this time for more information.
Reminder to all students interested in FBLA 2008: Registration money and information are due into Mr. Sestili today.
Hey art students: Now is the time. If you are ready to go on the New York City trip, NOW IS THE TIME! Please see Mrs. Hawbaker in room 190 during homeroom or your lunch period. This great three-night trip is a real deal that includes everything from three major museums, Broadway, Soho, Ellis Island, and more. Remember 3 nights, that’s priced same as most 2 night trips. If you want to go, we will be leaving December 4th. Get your information packet today; time is running out for the deposit deadline.
Calling all NASH trivia buffs: Are you the next Ken Jennings? Would you like to meet Ken Jennings? Do you even know who Ken Jennings is? Have people ever asked you, “Why do you know that?” If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then the NASH Quiz Team is for you! Signups are now occurring in the GOAL Office for the upcoming Quiz Bowls at Carnegie Mellon University and Pitt. What better way to spend a Saturday?
Attention seniors: If you are planning on applying to the University of Virginia, please stop by the School Counseling Office at this time for important information.
Attention students: The North Pittsburgh College Fair at LaRoche College will be held on October 8th from 6-8 p.m. Visit with representatives from 140 colleges and universities who will help you learn more about their campus experience! See the posters in the Cafeteria and on the School Counseling Bulletin Board for more information.
Students: A representative from Penn – also known as the University of Pennsylvania – will visit NASH in the GOAL office on Monday, October 6th, during period 2. Stop in to get a pass.
Reminder to students who are taking the SATs this Saturday, October 4th: Be sure to check your admissions ticket for the test center location. Remember to bring your admissions ticket, photo id, number 2 pencils, and calculator. You will not be permitted to take the test if you do not have a photo ID with you. Report to the guidance office at this time if you do not have an admissions ticket or need a photo ID for the test.
Important reminder to seniors: If you are applying for early action or early admission to a college and the deadline is November 1st, you need to turn your transcript requests in to the school counseling office by Friday, October 17th, in order to meet the deadline.
Come cheer on the Tigers at tonight’s Homecoming varsity football game against the Shaler Titans. Tickets will be on sale until 3 p.m.
in the Athletic Office. Adult tickets are $6 each and student tickets are $3. All tickets at the gate are $6. The gate will open at 5 p.m. for the Homecoming festivities.
Attention all students going to the game tonight: The student section is requesting a black-out! Wear all black and support our team!
Congratulations to Kelly Whelan and Jennifer Larimore for taking 1st in Tennis Section Doubles yesterday and Amanda Maiello and Stephanie Smyers for taking 4th.
The Varsity boys’ golf team will play a match with Butler today at Butler Country Club. Please dismiss the NASH golfers at 1:45. The bus leaves at 2:00.
